For the last 4 years I’ve poured myself into making watercolors and figurative works on paper— but have only sold this work privately to a handful of collectors.

Why?

During a time of major transitions in my life, I decided to focus on the art-making for a while. As I stepped into my 40s and left my beloved west coast home (before settling ever-so-slowly on the prairie), I let myself dip out of the business side of things for a bit and just PAINTED.

I fell in love with plein air painting under these massive Iowa skies surrounded by oceans of cone flowers singing in gold.

I remembered how much I love finding the angles of ankle bones on supple bodies and pulling paint along those lines.

I played and I practiced deeply—

And now that body of one-of-a-kind work is available to you in my online shop.
