The Art of Dying in the Spring
What seeds are you planting? An invitation to join me for the Creative Death Cafe, March 20th, Free, Online with the Vision Train
A dream…
I am vividly re-living every loving, happy moment with my father. His soft black hair, eyes twinkling, his head thrown back, laughing— us at every age, enjoying being together.
I am thinking, as the dreamer watching the dream, “Wow— this is so real! I can feel just how it felt to love him! I can feel how good his love felt to receive!”
Next, my dad is dying.
I’m back at the ranch slowly driving Big ‘50, his old black Chevy, and noticing how badly overgrown the once perfect landscaping is. Neck-high weeds obscure the view of the house, but—
I see multi-colored marigolds, tall, straining for a puddle of light. I realize, “Oh! He planted these seeds to bloom after he died!”
