The joy of creation mingled with societal lack of appreciation and compensation. Working for scraps of paper and invisible digits. Also- when emojis first became a thing my bestie and I played a game where we tried to tell the entire plot of a movie in emoji — then guess which movie it was. The Shining worked amazingly well.
