They're quite the vortices, our little pocket pals. I've tended to think of them as re-directors who remove us from our own flow-streams after learning of our distractors, and move us into into a stream of anger-addiction, or escapism-addiction. They have their 'pros' as well, but any unplanned visit born of boredom is easy prey for iLost. By the way, do you think FloKilla knows Flo Rida?
Flo Sho’, Miles. Loling as always with your wordplay—Now I’m re-imagining the Lost television series as “ iLost ™️ “: it’s just all these hot young people (cuz, #filters) in a pristine natural location that suddenly look up from their phones and don’t remember where the fuck they are or what they were doing because they were all in a scroll hole buying shit off temu.
Hahaha I love that. We've got a show! The smoke monster, in the end, was all their money leaving their accounts. Jacob was an app, and the island was a blockchain. Still have no idea where tf the polar bears came from, unless temu also offers endangered species for sale.
Daaaamn. That’s so right. Time to put this black mirror down! (Love the notebook page on choices. Each step feels like it’s not a choice in the moment, but of course, it is.)
Isn’t that somethin’?? I had the same reaction when I broke it down…like, whoa, ok, there are actually a LOT of steps involved where I need to make a choice but it happens in a completely dissociated blur. Gah!! Ick!!
Love it! I turn my notifications off last thing at night (if I remember!) because my time for writing is in the morning and I am simply not strong enough not to drop my pen and jump up from my desk if my phone pings. It goes on at lunchtime, and that's the end of my solitary time. Love your art, Lisette.
Thank you Kathy! I love your imaginary conversations!! I just hosted an ekphrastic poetry session with the work of Leonora Carrington- next month is Remedios Varo- and I look forward to sharing your work with the participants.

Right?? Kollibri, I’m happy to read your writing! Thanks to Rebecca Wisent for sending me your way.
Thanks, Lisette! I'm getting connected to all sorts of folks through Rebecca too.

Wow, what an accolade! I'm very flattered to be included in your workshop.
I have another Varo piece in the drawer and might post that one next, on the 28th of this month.
